...and I'm finally going back one month from today! it's been over 3 years since I've visited the Golden State...THREE YEARS, PEOPLE. that is almost half the years that I lived there. I need to find an excuse (job/client?!) to spend a weekend every month in LA...I miss it like the big-time.
I am beyond stoked to visit some of my favorite haunts, including, but not limited to: El Prado, Elf, Joan's on Third (for a Chinese chicken salad and some of those amazing pickles), the Rose Bowl (yes, I chose this weekend because it's a Rose Bowl weekend. duh.), Shareen's, La Estrella on York/Ave 54, Footsies, aimless drives through Moon Canyon, the Museum of Jurassic Technology, our little secret beach, and SO MANY OTHER PLACES. I can't even think of everyplace that I want to go! I know Highland Park has grown by leaps and bounds since I left my (original) little apartment on Avenue 50...and I can't wait to see what Downtown has turned into! I already know I will never want to leave.
luckily some of my besties are still in LA, so I'll be employing them as tour guides. but I'd love to hear some tips and suggestions from my dear readers...what are a few places that I can't miss in LA??

that's so funny you say Museum of Jurassic Technology! i thought no one but my husband knew about it. he says, "there's no where in the world like it," but i have yet to be dragged along on a visit ;)
Jessica, it's one of my favorite secret places! the first conversation I had with my now-husband was about the MJT. you must go, it's amazing!!
I don't supposed you'd want to share where your secret little beach is?! :) I'm moving to LA in 3 weeks (from chicago!) and would love to have a secret little spot to enjoy!
